from several portal reports of Bank of Baroda’s notification dated 4 November 2026 (Advt. No. BOB/HRM/REC/ADVT/2026/20): 837 contractual posts in the Wealth Management Services (WMS) Department, of which 791 are Senior Relationship Manager (Deputy Manager). Online applications opened on 4 November and close on 24 November 2026. Still pending: interview dates, which the bank will send to shortlisted candidates. We could not open the bank’s PDF, and the main detail source says its figures are not independently verified, so details below are as reported.
What this recruitment is
Bank of Baroda is hiring experienced professionals for its wealth management business. The posts are fixed-term and contractual, not regular officer posts. Candidates are engaged as Officers on Contractual Basis (OCB1 to OCB4) for an initial five years, extendable by up to five more years on performance, up to age 60, as reported by Placement Store.
This is not an entry-level recruitment. The lowest experience requirement is three years of post-qualification experience in wealth management, investment advisory or portfolio management, and the senior posts ask for up to twelve.
Three other Bank of Baroda recruitments are in circulation, and search results mix them up:
- A March 2026 drive for 104 WMS posts under Advt. No. BOB/HRM/REC/ADVT/2026/08, with applications from 27 March to 16 April. That window has closed.
- A September 2026 drive for 1,100 posts, 1,000 Wealth Executive and 100 Credit Analyst, with applications from 4 to 24 September. That has closed too.
- A 5,000-post apprentice drive from May 2026.
The notice to use now is Advt. No. 20 of 2026, dated 4 November. One portal warns that fee and other details can differ between the drives, so use only this advertisement.

Vacancies and category-wise split
| Post (grade) | UR | EWS | OBC | SC | ST | Total | PwD (horizontal) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Group Head (AVP II) | 5 | 0 | 2 | 1 | 0 | 8 | 1 |
| Head Investment (AVP II) | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 0 |
| Territory Head (AVP I) | 16 | 3 | 9 | 5 | 2 | 35 | 2 |
| Investment Product Manager (AVP I) | 2 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 2 | 0 |
| Senior Relationship Manager (Deputy Manager) | 322 | 79 | 213 | 118 | 59 | 791 | 32 |
| Total | 346 | 82 | 224 | 124 | 61 | 837 | 35 |
The rows and columns add up correctly. Senior Relationship Manager and Deputy Manager are the same post under two names, so the 791 are inside the 837 and should not be counted twice.
Some shares from the table (our arithmetic):
- Senior Relationship Manager is 94.5 percent of all posts. The other four posts together are 46.
- By category, UR is 41.3 percent, OBC 26.8 percent, SC 14.8 percent, EWS 9.8 percent and ST 7.3 percent.
- Three of the four senior posts have only a handful of seats. Head Investment has one, Investment Product Manager has two and both are unreserved.
The March drive reportedly had 70 Senior Relationship Manager posts out of 104. This drive’s 791 is about eleven times that. The comparison comes from one portal. The bank states that vacancies are provisional, so the numbers can change.
Eligibility by post
All qualifications and experience are reckoned as on 1 November 2026, per Placement Store. Experience of less than six months in any one organisation, clerical-cadre experience and teaching or training roles are reportedly not counted.
| Post | Age | Minimum experience |
|---|---|---|
| Senior Relationship Manager (Deputy Manager) | 24 to 35 | 3 years as Relationship Manager in wealth management, investment advisory or portfolio management |
| Investment Product Manager (AVP I) | 26 to 45 | 5 years as Relationship Manager, including at least 3 as Investment Counsellor |
| Territory Head (AVP I) | 28 to 42 | 8 years as Relationship Manager in banking or financial services |
| Head Investment (AVP II) | 35 to 50 | 10 years in direct investment roles, including 5 in a senior leadership role |
| Group Head (AVP II) | 35 to 50 | 12 years as Relationship Manager, including 5 as Team Lead of Relationship Managers |
The experience must be with public, private or foreign banks, broking firms, asset management companies or financial services firms.
Qualifications and certifications
The mandatory qualification is a graduation in any discipline from a recognised university or AICTE-approved institute. The certifications are what narrow the field:
- Senior Relationship Manager: NISM V-A or V-D, and/or IRDA IC38.
- Investment Product Manager and Head Investment: at least one of NISM V-A, V-D, XIII or Series XXI-A.
- Territory Head and Group Head: the reports list NISM V-A, V-D, XIII and XXI-A and IRDA IC38. How many of these are mandatory, and how many are preferred, is not clear from the summaries.
A two-year full-time MBA or PG diploma in management, CFP, CFA or equivalent is listed as preferred, not mandatory, for all posts.
The “and/or” in the Senior Relationship Manager entry is worth reading in the notice. It suggests one of the NISM certificates or the IRDA certificate may be enough, but the wording matters. Also check whether certificates must be valid on 1 November 2026.
Age limit and relaxation
For Senior Relationship Manager, the range is 24 to 35. If age counts in completed years as on 1 November 2026, the youngest eligible candidate was born on or before 1 November 2002, and the oldest on or after 2 November 1990. That is our arithmetic, so check the notice’s wording if your birthday is near the edge.
Reported age relaxation:
| Category | Relaxation |
|---|---|
| SC / ST | 5 years |
| OBC (non-creamy layer) | 3 years, certificate valid on the interview date |
| Persons with benchmark disabilities | 10 years (General/EWS), 13 (OBC), 15 (SC/ST) |
| Ex-servicemen, commissioned officers, ECOs/SSCOs with at least 5 years of service | 5 years (General/EWS), 8 (OBC), 10 (SC/ST) |
For a Senior Relationship Manager applicant, that means an SC/ST candidate can be up to 40 and an OBC candidate up to 38.
The age bands overlap, which affects which posts are open to you. A 38-year-old General candidate with ten years of experience is over the age limit for Senior Relationship Manager and for nothing lower than Head Investment or Group Head, except Territory Head (up to 42) and Investment Product Manager (up to 45).
Application fee
The fee reported by most outlets is Rs. 850 for General, EWS and OBC candidates and Rs. 175 for SC, ST, PwBD, ex-servicemen and women candidates, both inclusive of GST and plus payment gateway charges. Placement Store, CareerPower, NewsX and others agree. The fee is non-refundable and is paid online by net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI by 24 November.
One portal, Instapdf, gives Rs. 600 and Rs. 100. That doesn’t match any other source for this notice, and it does not match the earlier March drive either, which also used Rs. 850 and Rs. 175. Treat Rs. 850 and Rs. 175 as the working figure and confirm the amount on the payment page before you pay.
Selection process
The reported process has these stages:
- Shortlisting or screening on academic record, relevant experience, domain expertise and suitability. The bank reserves the right to hold an online written test or a psychometric assessment if needed.
- Personal interview, in person or by video, assessing managerial competence, technical knowledge, problem-solving and communication.
- Merit list and document verification, with original mark sheets, experience certificates, salary slips and category documents.
Minimum qualifying marks in the interview are reported as 60 percent for General and EWS and 55 percent for reserved categories, from Placement Store only.
Interview dates and venues will be sent by email to shortlisted candidates. No exam syllabus or pattern is published because no written test is certain. The weightage between interview marks and any other score is not in the summaries.
Because shortlisting is based on your application, what you write about your experience carries the process. Give the employer, role, dates, assets under management or client numbers where you have them, and your certification details.
Contract terms and pay
Per Placement Store, remuneration will be customised based on qualifications, experience, current CTC and market benchmarks. No pay scale or figure is reported. Any website quoting a monthly salary for these five posts isn’t quoting the notice.
The contract is five years in the first instance, extendable by up to five more on performance, up to age 60. Posting is across India, in branches or administrative offices. Salary slips showing your CTC breakup are among the documents requested, which fits the idea that your current pay feeds into the offer.
How to apply online
- Go to bankofbaroda.bank.in and open Careers, then Current Opportunities.
- Select the recruitment of professionals in Wealth Management Services, Advt. 20/2026.
- Register with your name, mobile number and email address.
- Choose the single post you are applying for and fill in your personal, educational, certification and experience details.
- Upload your documents (below).
- Preview the application, complete registration and pay the fee.
- Download the application form and e-receipt.
Candidates can apply for only one position, according to the reports.
The reported upload specifications, from one portal, are PDF files of up to 500 KB each for the resume, date-of-birth proof, mark sheets and degree certificates, experience letters and salary slips, and category certificates, plus a JPG photograph (200 by 230 pixels, 20 to 50 KB) and a signature in black ink (140 by 60 pixels, 10 to 20 KB). Confirm these on the portal.
Choosing which post to apply for
Because you can apply for only one, the choice matters. Work it out in this order:
- Check the age band for each post against your date of birth, including any relaxation.
- Check the experience for each post against your own, using only experience the notice counts.
- Check the certifications you hold for the post.
- Among the posts left, consider the seat numbers. Senior Relationship Manager has 791 seats. Head Investment has one.
The notice doesn’t say whether a candidate who is eligible for a senior post can choose a more junior one, or whether interview scores are compared across posts. Don’t assume either.
Mistakes to avoid
The ones you can’t undo: applying for the wrong post (only one application is allowed) and paying the fee before you have checked age, experience and certification against the notice. The fee is non-refundable.
The ones that appear later: experience that the bank does not count, such as under six months with one employer or a clerical role, and certificates that don’t match the notice’s list or aren’t valid on 1 November. The documents are checked at verification.
The quiet ones: reading the Rs. 600 fee from a stray portal, mixing this notice with the March or September drives, and leaving payment to the last day.
