from university notices as mirrored on the aggregator site collegeadmission.in: the BBA 6th Semester (June 2026) result and the BBA 4th Semester 2026 result are both listed as declared, and re-scrutiny results for earlier BBA exams were published on 29 September 2026. I could not open the official dibru.ac.in PDFs directly, so check marks only against the university’s own site. The date of the BBA 4th Semester notice was not visible in the sources I saw.
Which “BBA result” are you looking for?
Dibrugarh University runs two separate BBA tracks, and mixing them up is the most common reason candidates think their result is missing.
The first is the 3-year BBA, an AICTE-approved programme at the Centre for Management Studies. Provisional admission results for the 2026–2029 session were published for this programme. The second is the five-year integrated BBA LLB (Honours and Non-Honours), which sits under the law faculty and has its own semester schedule and its own notices. A separate notice for the 6th Semester BBA LL.B result was listed on 16 October 2026.
If you search the results page for “BBA” and read the first PDF you find, you may be looking at the wrong programme. Check the title line of the notice against your course and semester before you scroll for your roll number.
What has been released
The table below lists only what I could verify from the aggregator listings. Dates are the aggregator’s publication dates, which can differ from the date on the university’s own PDF.
| Result | Listed status | Listed date |
|---|---|---|
| BBA 3rd Semester (December 2025 exam) | Listed as released | 24 Apr 2026 |
| BBA 5th Semester (2025) | Listed as released | 21 Apr 2026 |
| BBA 6th Semester (June 2026 exam) | Listed as released | 14 Jul 2026 |
| BBA 4th Semester 2026 | Listed as declared | Not visible in source |
| Re-scrutiny: 1st/3rd/5th Sem (Dec 2025) and 6th Sem (June 2026) | Released | 29 Sep 2026 |
| BBA LLB 6th Semester | Released | 16 Oct 2026 |
Two things stand out. The re-scrutiny batch covers the December 2025 papers and the June 2026 papers in one notice, so the university cleared several cycles of review requests together. And the 6th semester result came out roughly two weeks after the 5th semester one did the year before, which is a reminder that Dibrugarh does not run to a fixed calendar. Waiting for a “usual” date will mislead you.
How to check your result
The university publishes results as PDFs under the results category on its website, not through a login-based portal. Aggregator guides describe the same pattern: course-wise notifications attached as PDFs on the results page. Open the results page, find the notice that names your exact course, semester and exam month, open the PDF, and search for your roll number with Ctrl+F (or the find option on mobile).
You need your roll number. One aggregator guide states that a roll number is mandatory to check Dibrugarh University results. Your admit card or last semester’s marksheet carries it. If you have neither, your college office can give it to you.
When your roll number is not in the PDF
This is where most of the panic starts, and it deserves a slower explanation. The notice format for at least some Dibrugarh results is a list of roll numbers declared to have passed. The BA 2nd Semester FYUGP notice, for example, opens with the roll numbers declared passed. If that format applies to your notice, a roll number that does not appear in the pass list does not tell you what happened. It could mean you failed one or more papers, that your result is withheld, or that you appeared as a backlog candidate and are listed in a separate section. I have not confirmed which layout the BBA PDFs use, so read the notice’s heading and any supplementary lists before drawing a conclusion.
Search the full PDF, not just the first page. Look for sections labelled backlog, withheld, or absent. Then contact your department or the university’s examination branch in person, with your admit card, rather than relying on a phone call.
Re-scrutiny: what the 29 September notice means for you
The re-scrutiny results cover the 1st, 3rd and 5th Semester BBA of December 2025 and the 6th Semester BBA of June 2026. If you applied for re-scrutiny or re-evaluation, your revised marks are in that notice, not in the original result PDF. Candidates who applied and then keep checking the original result will see no change and assume nothing happened.
What this means practically: if your revised marks differ from the original, your marksheet should reflect the revised figure. Ask your college office whether a corrected marksheet is being issued before you submit the old one for a job, higher study or an internship application. I could not find the fee, deadline or procedure for re-scrutiny in the sources available, so I am not stating them. Follow the instructions in the university’s own notice.
Verification-safety tip
Result aggregators copy university notices and sometimes carry old dates, wrong semester labels or outdated links. The listings I used show this problem in a small way: one aggregator page lists 2026 results beside 2024 results under similar headings. Treat any aggregator as a pointer to the notice, and use the university’s own PDF as the only document you rely on for marks, pass status or dates. Never pay anyone for “result access” or “marks correction.” Re-scrutiny goes through the university and its published channels.
What happens after the result
A published result is provisional until the marksheet is issued. For the 6th semester, final-year candidates typically wait for the university to issue the final marksheet and degree documentation, and the timing of that varies. I have no confirmed date for either, so ask your college for the current status. Candidates planning to apply for MBA or other management entrance routes should keep both their semester marksheets and the final-year result PDF printout ready.
What is not available
There is no cut-off for these results. Cut-offs apply to entrance exams and merit-based admission, not to semester examinations. Job-notification items such as vacancy, salary and age limit also do not apply here. If you landed on this page looking for admission cut-offs, the relevant items are the BBA provisional merit list and the second provisional list for 2026–29, which were listed on 2 July and 9 July 2026.

FAQs
My BBA LLB result is out but I study BBA at CMS. Which notice applies to me?
Only the notice titled for your own programme. BBA (3-year) and BBA LLB (five-year integrated) have separate notices and semester numbers, so a BBA LLB 6th semester result does not cover a CMS BBA 6th semester student.
I applied for re-scrutiny. Will my original result PDF show the new marks?
No. Revised marks appear in the separate re-scrutiny notice. The most recent one I found was published on 29 September 2026. If your marks changed, ask your college about a corrected marksheet.
I cannot find my roll number in the 6th semester PDF. Have I failed?
Not necessarily. Your number may be in a separate backlog, withheld or supplementary list, or the notice may be for a different programme. Read the PDF’s title and all its sections, then visit your department with your admit card.
The aggregator says “declared” but I cannot open the university PDF. What now?
Go to the university’s results page directly and filter by course. If the PDF is missing there, wait and check again. Do not rely on a copy hosted elsewhere for anything formal.
