TSCSCL Recruitment 2026: 166 Posts Approved, Post-Wise Vacancies, Notification & Apply Online Date

from two education-portal reports citing G.O.Ms.No.143 (we haven’t seen the G.O. itself): the Telangana government has approved 166 posts at TSCSCL. Still pending: the official notification, application dates, fee, age limit, salary, exam pattern, syllabus and category-wise vacancies.

What has been approved

The Finance Department approved the recruitment of 166 vacant posts through direct recruitment, and the Telangana Public Service Commission will run the process. The posts sit under the Consumer Affairs, Food and Civil Supplies Department.

Approval is not a notification. Before the Commission can advertise anything, it first collects category-wise and local-cadre-wise vacancies and roster points from the department. Only after that does it publish the notification and exam schedule. None of the reports we found gives a date for that step, and we won’t guess one.

Post-wise vacancies

Post Posts
Technical Assistant Grade I 12
Accountant Grade I 12
Assistant Grade I 12
Technical Assistant Grade III 49
Accountant Grade III 52
Assistant Grade III 28
Work Inspector 1
Total 166

Source for the table: the Adda247 post-wise breakdown; Careerpower reports the same 166 total across 7 posts.

The split is lopsided. Grade III posts account for 129 of the 166, about 78 percent. Grade I has 36, and the Work Inspector post is a single seat. If you are deciding where to aim, the Grade III posts are where most of the openings are. The reports don’t say whether category and local-cadre splits will change these numbers once the notification is issued.

Qualifications: what is reported, and one inconsistency

No official qualification has been published. The Adda247 article lists expected qualifications and describes them as expected to vary by post and grade. Treat these as provisional:

  • Accountant Grade III is expected to need a Commerce graduation with 50% marks (40% for SC/ST).
  • Assistant Grade III is expected to need graduation in any discipline with 50% (40% for SC/ST).
  • Technical Assistant Grade III is expected to need a degree in Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or Agriculture with 50% (40% for SC/ST).
  • The Grade I posts are expected to need a postgraduate degree with 60% (50% for SC/ST). For Accountant, that is Commerce or MBA (Finance), or graduation with Inter CA/ICWA.

The same article’s qualification table is headed “Grade-I & II” for these posts, but the approved list contains Grade I and Grade III, with no Grade II. The qualification table looks borrowed from an earlier or different recruitment. That is why the numbers above are marked expected. For the Work Inspector post, no qualification appears in the reports at all.

What nobody has published yet

Age limit, application fee, salary, exam pattern, syllabus, selection stages, application dates and the required-documents list are all unannounced. Some sites already show tidy tables for these. Unless they cite the notification, those figures are borrowed from other recruitments. The one list of documents in circulation, which includes certificates, identity proof and a caste certificate where applicable, is the aggregator’s own suggestion and not an official checklist.

There is also no official cut-off or previous-year cut-off for this recruitment, since it hasn’t been held before in this form. Anyone quoting a cut-off now is guessing.

Four things worth sorting out before the notification

Percentage versus CGPA. If the final rule keeps a minimum-marks condition like the 50% or 60% reported above, the Commission will ask for your marks as a percentage. If your university reports CGPA or grades, ask it now for its official conversion formula or certificate. It is easier to do this before an application window opens than during one.

Check which grade you fit. On the reported criteria, graduation is the floor for Grade III and a postgraduate degree is the floor for Grade I. Read the notification closely to see whether a postgraduate can apply to both grades. Don’t assume.

Expect the bigger crowd in Grade III. With 129 posts and a graduation-level requirement, that is where applicants will probably concentrate. This is our expectation, not a reported figure.

Ignore “pre-registration” offers. Applications cannot be made yet. The source says candidates cannot apply at present and must wait for the official notification and online application link. Any channel asking for money to hold a form is not connected to the Commission.

The same source suggests checking the Commission’s One Time Registration requirements in advance. That is reasonable, but verify the steps on the Commission’s own portal.

What happens next

The sequence, in order, is: the department supplies vacancy and roster details, then the Commission issues the notification, then applications open, then the exam is scheduled, then results and verification follow. Today we are before step two. We found no dated timeline for any step.

FAQs

Can I apply for TSCSCL jobs now? No. Only the posts have been approved. The application link will come with the notification.

Is Grade II included in this recruitment? The approved list has Grade I, Grade III and one Work Inspector post. Grade II does not appear, even though one article’s qualification table mentions it.

Will the notification carry exactly 166 posts? The reports treat 166 as the approved number. Whether the notification repeats it, and how it splits by category and local cadre, is not known until the Commission publishes.

TSPSC or TGPSC, which website is right? Different sources use both names, and one of them lists both domains. Check that you are on the Commission’s own site, and don’t use a link from a message or a third-party page.
