Confirmed as of this date, from news reports and not yet from an official PDF we could open: the AEE (Civil, Roads & Buildings) exam is still ahead, so no key exists for it. The Assistant Environmental Engineer test was scheduled for 26 October, and we found no published key for it. Cut-off, result and final key are all pending.
Where things stand
Two TGPSC recruitments share the “AEE” label, and many websites blur them. Keep them apart.
| Recruitment | Reported vacancies | Exam date (reported) | Answer key |
|---|---|---|---|
| AEE Civil (Roads & Buildings) | 222 | 6/7 November 2026, see below | Not possible yet |
| Assistant Environmental Engineer (Pollution Control Board) | 19 | 26 October 2026, CBT | Not found as of 31 October |
One education-portal summary lists three notifications dated 2 June 2026 totalling 290 posts: 222 AEE Civil, 49 AEE Electrical and 19 Assistant Environmental Engineer in TGPCB. Several hall-ticket pages attach “290 vacancies” to the Environmental Engineer notification, which looks like a mix-up. Use 19 for that post unless the official notification says otherwise.
The 6 November vs 7 November confusion
The Civil exam date has moved, and the reports disagree on how.
The exam was scheduled for November 6 and 7, while the SSC JE examination runs from November 2 to 6. The overlap on 6 November sparked a protest outside the TGPSC office in Hyderabad. BRS leader T Harish Rao said more than 50,000 civil engineering aspirants could be affected. That is his claim, not a figure from the Commission.
Then the reports split. Sakshi Education says the exam earlier set for November 6 will now be held on November 7. The Morning Voice, dated 27 October, says the shift applies only to candidates appearing for the SSC JE Civil examination and is not a general postponement.
If you applied to both exams, read your own hall ticket and any TGPSC notice before planning travel. Don’t rely on a headline.
Notification, vacancies and pay
The Civil recruitment covers 222 posts in the Transport, Roads and Buildings Department. The pay scale is ₹54,220 to ₹1,33,630, reported as monthly by NewsX. Applications closed on 13 July 2026. Reports differ on when they opened: one aggregator says 6 June, another says 17 June. The closing date is consistent across sources.
Reported eligibility is a B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering. One aggregator gives an age range of 18 to 44 years. Treat that as unverified, because age limits for state recruitments usually carry category relaxations and we haven’t seen the official PDF. We found no application fee in any source we trust, so we aren’t stating one.
What the selection process is likely to look like
One aggregator says the process is expected to include a written examination, merit evaluation, certificate verification and final selection. That is described as expected, not confirmed from the notification. We have not verified the exam pattern, marking scheme or any negative marking for the AEE Civil paper. Check the official notification before quoting any of them.
How the answer key will probably work
No TGPSC AEE key exists yet, so everything here is a general pattern, not a confirmed schedule for this exam.
Commissions in India usually publish a preliminary key with a master question paper on their website. They then open an online objection window of a few days, review the objections with subject experts, and release a final key alongside or just before the result. Objections have to be tied to specific question numbers and options, and unsupported claims are generally rejected. One aggregator mentions a fee of ₹500 per question, refunded if the objection is upheld. That line is generic, not TGPSC-specific, so treat the amount as unconfirmed for this recruitment. centralstatejobs
Cut-off and result
There is no official cut-off, and we won’t publish an estimate. A figure circulated before the exam has no basis. The real cut-off depends on how many candidates sit the paper, how hard the paper was, and the category-wise vacancy split in the notification. None of those is known today.
A mistake candidates make right after a CBT exam
Candidates search “answer key” within hours of leaving the centre, land on a coaching-institute key, and treat the calculated score as their real one.
That score is an estimate. Coaching keys are built from memory-based question recall, and recall of a technical paper is poor. Questions with figures or multi-step calculations are the ones most often misremembered, and those are the ones that decide close margins. A key that gives you 118 marks can easily leave you with a different number once the official key corrects two or three disputed items.
A more useful routine on exam day:
- Write down the question stems you were unsure about as soon as you leave, while you still remember them.
- If TGPSC shows a response sheet or master paper, compare against that and nothing else.
- Raise objections only where you can cite a standard textbook, code or IS reference. Bare “I think option C” objections rarely survive review.
The second risk is fake downloads. During any key or result window, WhatsApp and Telegram groups circulate PDFs and “login to see your marks” links. The Commission publishes keys on its own portal. If a link asks for payment or for your password, it is not official.
What actually happens next
For Civil candidates the sequence is: exam on 6 or 7 November, then the preliminary key and objection window, then the final key, then the result, then document verification. Dates for the last four steps are not announced. For Environmental Engineer candidates, the exam is done and the next TGPSC notice should be the key or the result. We found neither as of today.

FAQs
I have both SSC JE and TGPSC AEE Civil. Which date applies to me?
Reports conflict on whether the 7 November shift is for everyone or only for SSC JE Civil candidates. Check your TGPSC hall ticket and the latest notice on the Commission’s website. Don’t rely on forwarded messages.
Is the TGPSC AEE answer key out?
No. The Civil exam hasn’t taken place yet. For the Assistant Environmental Engineer exam held on 26 October, we found no published key as of 31 October. Pages claiming otherwise should be treated with suspicion.
Is the 290 vacancy figure for AEE Civil?
No. The reported breakdown is 222 AEE Civil, 49 AEE Electrical and 19 Assistant Environmental Engineer. Some hall-ticket pages attach 290 to the Environmental Engineer post, which appears to be an error.
Can I rely on a coaching institute’s key to estimate my result?
For a rough sense only. It is not the official key, and the final marks can differ. Don’t make any decision on it, such as skipping other applications.
