from published write-ups of the RMC advertisement: 825 apprentice positions for ITI pass candidates, online applications from 2 to 17 November 2026, and a mandatory in-person document submission by 23 November 2026. Still pending or not stated: trade-wise seats, age limit, stipend amount, application fee and merit list date.
Overview
RMC here means Rajkot Municipal Corporation in Gujarat. It has invited ITI pass candidates for apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and the Chief Minister’s Apprenticeship Scheme. This is training, not a municipal job, and the stipend is not a salary.
One honest limit before you read on. I could not open the official RMC advertisement PDF. The details below come from several job-portal write-ups published on 31 October 2026 (FreeJobAlert, IndianGovtJobs and FirstJob24), which agree with each other on the dates, the 825 figure and the process. Treat everything here as reported, and check the PDF on www.rmc.gov.in before you act.

Vacancy 2026
The reports give a single figure: 825 apprentice positions in various ITI trades. They state that the advertisement does not give a trade-wise or category-wise split. So you cannot yet tell how many seats your trade has, or what reservation applies. The application form on the RMC website is where the list of trades is expected to appear.
A verification point: 825 was also the number reported for RMC’s January 2025 apprentice round, when applications ran from 13 to 31 January 2025. The round before that, in 2023, was reported at 738 posts. Seeing the same total in two different years is possible, but it is a good reason to read the 2026 PDF yourself and not rely on a portal’s headline.
Education qualification
You need an ITI pass in the relevant trade from a government-recognised institute. Private ITIs are fine if they are government-recognised, according to the FAQ in one of the reports.
You are not eligible if you have already completed apprenticeship training in any trade, at RMC or at any other institution. The reports say such applicants are disqualified if found. This catches many ITI graduates, because a lot of them do a year of apprenticeship straight after the course.
Age limit
The reports say the advertisement gives no minimum age, maximum age or date for counting age. One portal says to follow the Apprentices Act norms and the instructions on the RMC portal. Until you see an age rule in the PDF, do not assume one.
Stipend
Selected apprentices get a monthly stipend at the rate fixed by the government. The reports say the advertisement names no amount for any trade. It is a stipend for training, not a regular employee salary.
Application fee
No fee or payment step is mentioned in the reports. If the RMC portal shows one, follow the portal. Do not pay any agent or website for “registration”.
Selection process
Selection is by merit among eligible candidates, against the seats available in each trade. The reports say no written exam and no interview has been announced, and no formula for working out merit is given. A merit-based waiting list may be used to fill seats that become vacant later.
The missing formula is the main gap. Merit could be worked out from ITI marks, but until the PDF or the form says so, keep your ITI mark sheet and certificate ready and look at how the form asks for marks.
No exam means no admit card and no syllabus for this recruitment. For the same reason there is no cut-off to quote, and I found no earlier RMC apprentice cut-off published in the sources I checked.
How to apply
This is a two-step process, and both steps count.
- Open www.rmc.gov.in and go to the Apprentice Application Form, between 2 and 17 November 2026.
- Choose your ITI trade, enter personal, educational and contact details, and check everything before submitting.
- Download and print the submitted form.
- Attach self-attested copies of the documents asked for in the form.
- Hand in the printout and documents in person by 23 November 2026.
The reported address is: The Manager, Establishment Branch, Room No. 1, Second Floor, Rajkot Municipal Corporation, Dhebarbhai Road, Rajkot 360001. Submission is on working days between 10:30 AM and 6:10 PM.
The reports say anyone who applies online but does not deliver the documents in time will not be considered. They also say the documents must be presented in person. Nothing in them says post or courier is accepted.
Documents
The exact checklist is in the application form. Based on the reports, keep ready: the printed form, your ITI trade certificate, ITI mark sheet, identity and other educational documents the form asks for, and any extra documents it names. All copies must be self-attested.
Things to watch
The address needs a second look. A report on the 2023 round named the Assistant Mehakam Branch of RMC as the place to hand documents, while the 2026 reports name the Establishment Branch, Room No. 1. Use the address in the 2026 PDF, not an old one.
The gap between the two deadlines is short. Online applications close on Tuesday 17 November and documents are due on Monday 23 November. Diwali falls in the first part of the application window, and the reports do not list any holiday closure at the civic office, so you may have fewer working days than the dates suggest. Submit the printout as soon as you finish the online form, and do not wait for the last day.
The training period is not given in the 2026 reports. One portal described the 2025 round as one year. Do not take that as confirmed for 2026.

FAQs
I did my apprenticeship in a private company after ITI. Can I apply? No. The reports say anyone who has completed apprenticeship training in any trade, at RMC or any other institution, should not apply.
I filled the online form. Am I done? No. You must also hand in the printed form and self-attested documents in person by 23 November 2026. Without that step the application is not considered.
Can I send my documents by post or through a friend? The reports say the documents must be presented in person and do not mention post or an authorised person. Check the PDF before assuming either.
Is 825 the final number of seats, and how many are in my trade? 825 is the total reported, and the same figure was reported for the 2025 round. No trade-wise split appears in the reports, so check the PDF and the form.
What is the age limit? The reports say the advertisement does not give one. Read the eligibility lines on the portal and in the PDF before applying.
