per job-portal reports of the university’s notices: Bharathiar University’s revaluation result for the School of Distance Education (SDE) July 2026 examinations was announced on 29 October 2026, and revaluation results for several earlier April/May 2026 exam groups are also listed on the university’s results page. Not found in any source: the number of applicants, how many marks changed, and the revaluation fee. I could not open the university’s result portal myself, so confirm your own revised marks on b-u.ac.in.
Which revaluation result is yours?
Bharathiar University publishes revaluation results by exam stream, and each one is a separate notice. That is where most confusion starts. A student who searches “Bharathiar University revaluation result” and clicks the wrong one will find nothing.
The university’s results page lists revaluation results separately for University Departments (April/May 2026), Affiliated Colleges (April/May 2026) and the Centre for Distance and Online Education (ODL, April 2026). The newest is the School of Distance Education July 2026 revaluation result, with the official announcement dated 29 October 2026. The university’s homepage flash news shows the CDOE April 2026 ODL revaluation results and the University Departments April 2026 revaluation results as separate items.
Note that the School of Distance Education and the Centre for Distance and Online Education are two different bodies. A distance-learning student should check the name on the mark sheet or hall ticket, because the SDE July result does not cover CDOE (ODL) candidates, and vice versa. One report states that the current result does not cover the April 2026 examinations or the affiliated-college revaluation results.
Dates
| Stream | Reported date |
|---|---|
| Affiliated Colleges, April/May 2026 revaluation | 18 August 2026 |
| SDE July 2026 revaluation application deadline | 5 October 2026 |
| SDE July 2026 revaluation result | 29 October 2026 |
The 18 August date for affiliated-college revaluation comes from a FirstJob24 report. The October dates come from FreeJobAlert, which says the official announcement was updated at 3:42 PM on 29 October and that the original application deadline was 5 October. I could not match the 18 August date to the university’s own page, so treat it as reported. The same applies to the October dates.
From 5 October to 29 October is 24 days. One aggregator generically says revaluation takes four to six weeks after application, and the SDE result came faster than that, so a fixed “waiting time” quoted on a job site is not a rule you can count on.
How to check your revised marks
The reported route is the result portal at results.b-u.ac.in/2026/sde_reval/index.html, where you open the SDE July 2026 revaluation page, enter the details it requests (typically your register number), and save or print the result. Go through b-u.ac.in and its results section to reach the page, and do not rely on a forwarded link.
The reported fields to check are your name, register number, examination session, course and paper details, revaluation status and updated marks, if applicable. The words “if applicable” matter. Revaluation does not guarantee a change in marks.
What the announcement does not tell you
The announcement reportedly gives no overall pass percentage, no number of revaluation applicants and no total of students whose marks changed. So any claim that “x% of students gained marks” is not backed by the university’s notice. The university’s online results come with an old disclaimer too: a student’s result page from the November 2025 examinations states that the university takes no responsibility for errors in online results and that they are not official mark sheets. That is a note from an earlier result, but it points to an important habit: treat the online revised result as provisional until the official mark statement is issued.
What to do after you see the result
First, compare the revised marks with your original, paper by paper, and note exactly which papers changed and by how much. Second, save the page as a PDF and take a screenshot, because online result pages are sometimes replaced or moved. Third, ask the university how a revised mark reaches your official records. The sources do not say whether you will receive a corrected mark statement automatically, whether you must apply for one, or how a changed pass or fail status is processed, and I do not want to guess.
One point deserves caution. The SDE report says students who did not apply for revaluation should refer to the original SDE examination result and not this page. If you did not apply, nothing about your marks has changed.
Common mistakes
Checking the wrong stream is the most frequent mistake, and distance-learning students make it more than others because of the SDE and CDOE naming. The second is assuming that a revaluation result also re-publishes the arrear or supplementary results. The university lists the Special Supplementary Examinations 2026 results as separate items on its results page. The third is relying on a result-tracking page’s date without matching it to the university’s notice. FreeJobAlert, for example, links the university’s own announcement page for exactly this reason, and you can compare against it.
One more note on the revaluation form. A report says the requirement to attach a copy of the result to the revaluation form comes from the official revaluation form, reval_2026.pdf. If you apply in a future cycle, read the form in full, because it sets the document and fee requirements, and I did not find the fee in the sources.
Previous results and cut-off
Revaluation results show marks, not cut-offs. There is no cut-off to look up. The only comparison that matters is your new mark against the pass mark for your course, and that figure is in your programme’s regulations, which I did not read.

FAQs
I took the SDE July 2026 exam but did not apply for revaluation. Do I need to check this page?
No. Per the report, the page covers only students who applied. Your original result is unchanged.
I am a CDOE (ODL) student. Does the SDE result apply to me?
No. CDOE has its own April 2026 ODL revaluation result, listed separately on the university’s results page.
Will my marks always go up after revaluation?
Not necessarily. The reports say the page shows revised marks “if applicable.” The announcement gives no statistics, so no source says how often marks change.
Is the online revised result a mark sheet?
No. The university’s online results have carried a disclaimer saying they are not official mark sheets. Ask the university how and when the revised official record is issued.
Where do I find the revaluation result for the April/May 2026 affiliated-college exams?
On the university’s results page under Affiliated Colleges, as a separate revaluation notice. One report dates it to 18 August 2026.
