UPSSSC PET Answer Key 2026: Unofficial Answer Key, Official Key Release Date & Objection Details

from education-portal reports and not from the UPSSSC notice itself: the PET is being held on 25 October, 30 October and 1 November 2026. Several coaching sites have published unofficial keys. Still pending: the official provisional key, the objection window, the final key, the result and any cut-off.

What is confirmed

The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission is conducting the Preliminary Eligibility Test under Advt. No. 16-Exam/2026 on 25 and 30 October and 1 November 2026. Each date had two shifts. For the 25 October exam, Prepp reports Shift 2 ran from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM in offline mode, and Shift 1 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. We have not seen the notice with the shift timings for the other dates.

The official site is upsssc.gov.in. That is the only place an official key should appear.

When will the official key come?

Not announced. Prepp’s shift pages say the official answer key release date is not announced yet. Two sites offer a guess, and they disagree:

  • Adda247 says the provisional key is expected around 3 to 4 November, based on the previous exam cycle. That is an estimated, unofficial date.
  • Careerpower says the official key will be released a week after the exam. That is also an unofficial estimate, and it does not say where it comes from.

If you count a week from 1 November, you get about 8 November. A 3 to 4 November release is possible, but it is a forecast, not a UPSSSC statement. Plan around “after 1 November, date unannounced.”

What exists right now

The keys in circulation are all unofficial. Testbook labels its own as released but unofficial, with PDFs by date and shift. Prepp has pages for every date and shift and says the official provisional and final keys are released separately by UPSSSC. Careerpower’s unofficial key is described as prepared by its faculty.

Use these to estimate your score. Don’t use them to decide anything final.

Source type What it is How far to trust it

Match your key to your booklet

This is where candidates most often score themselves wrong. Keys are tied to a date, a shift and, in some cases, a booklet series. One Hindi-language key for 25 October Shift 2 is labelled booklet GJ4. If your booklet has a different series code, the same question number can carry a different question, so a key built for another series gives you a wrong score.

Before you add up marks, check three things on your own question booklet: the date, the shift and the series code. Then open the key for exactly that combination.

Where keys disagree

The sample questions on the Prepp pages show five options, A to D plus E, “None of the above.” E is a live answer in this paper. The Kredoz table for 25 October Shift 2 lists E as correct for several questions, including 10, 21, 43 and 74.

Questions where E is the answer are the ones candidates most often recall wrongly, and different coaching keys are more likely to split on them. If two keys disagree on a question, mark it separately instead of picking one. Count your score twice: once with all disputed items right, once with all wrong. The official key will land you somewhere between those two numbers.

Objections, result and cut-off

The objection process has not been announced for this key. Prepp says candidates should watch the official site for the link, provisional answer key and objection process. Until the commission publishes the window, we don’t know the dates, the fee (if any) or how objections must be filed.

No cut-off or result date has been announced. We did not verify previous-year cut-offs, so none are quoted here. PET is an eligibility test by name. Check the commission’s notice for how scores are used and how long they stay valid, because we have not confirmed those rules.

What to do between now and the official key

  1. Find your booklet series, date and shift, and note them down.
  2. Compare at least two unofficial keys for that exact combination.
  3. List every question where the keys disagree.
  4. Keep your admit card and any response notes ready for when the objection window opens.
  5. Watch upsssc.gov.in, not forwarded messages, for the provisional key.

FAQs

Is the official UPSSSC PET answer key out? No. As of 1 November, no official key or release date has been announced. The PDFs you see on coaching sites are unofficial.

Can I trust the unofficial key for my score? For an estimate, yes. Treat it as approximate. Keys differ on a few questions, and the official key may change answers.

I took the 30 October Shift 2 paper. Which key do I use? The one for 30 October, Shift 2, matching your booklet series. Don’t use a key labelled for another date or shift.

Will the key come on 3 or 4 November? That is an estimate from one site based on the previous cycle. Another site suggests about a week after the exam. Neither is a UPSSSC announcement.
