per press reports of the HPSC result: the Haryana Public Service Commission declared the final result for the HCS (Executive Branch) and Other Allied Services Examination on 17 October 2026, with a service allocation list. Not yet seen: any official joining or appointment date, and any category-wise final cut-off. I have not opened the result PDF myself, so every figure below comes from secondary reports unless I say otherwise.
The result in numbers
HPSC advertised 102 posts, and the final result recommends 101 candidates for appointment. That is a one-post gap. None of the reports I found explains it, and I won’t guess. It could reflect a reserved-category post left unfilled, a withheld result or something else. The answer sits in the notes at the end of the official PDF.
The recruitment ran under Advertisement No. 22/2026. Here is the sequence as reported:
| Stage | Date |
|---|---|
| Applications | 6 to 26 February 2026 |
| Prelims | 26 April 2026 |
| Prelims result (first batch) | 4 May 2026 |
| Revised prelims result | 1 June 2026 |
| Mains | 27 to 29 June 2026 |
| Mains result | 17 September 2026 |
| Interviews | 3 to 8 October 2026 |
| Interview marks | 8 October 2026 |
| Notice on withheld marks | 15 October 2026 |
| Final result and service allocation | 17 October 2026 |
The prelims result was reissued after the commission revised its earlier results of May 4, 13 and 20, reportedly following a court matter. If you were told in May that you didn’t qualify, that is why the story got complicated.
How the final rank is built
Prelims is a screening test and carries no weight in the final order. Reports describe the merit as mains marks plus interview marks, with one source giving Mains (600) + Interview (75) = 675. That total is from a third-party summary, so check it against the official notification before using it for any calculation.
Interview marks for 316 candidates were published on 8 October 2026. A separate notice followed on 15 October about additional withheld marks. I couldn’t read the notice itself. If you were among those interviewed and your marks seemed missing on 8 October, that notice is the first place to look.
What the allocation list tells you
This is the part candidates misread. The final result is not just a pass list. It is a service-wise allotment, where your rank decides which service you get, and your stated preferences matter only within what your rank can reach.
That has two practical consequences:
- A good rank does not guarantee the service you want. Services such as HCS (Executive Branch) and allied services, including DSP, are filled in merit order against the posts available in each.
- Candidates ranked 80 or 90 can be allotted differently from what they hoped even though they are “selected.” Look at your service column, not just your presence in the list.
Reports say a DSP physical test was held on 1 October 2026. I haven’t verified how that test feeds into final allotment, so read the notification’s rules for posts with physical standards.
Marks, cut-off and pay
HPSC published roll-number-wise marks, so you can see your own interview score and rank position in the PDF. I have no verified final category-wise cut-off, and I would be cautious of any site that presents one without pointing to the official document. Last year’s cut-offs are of limited use anyway, because this cycle changed the pattern: one report cites HPSC amendment rules of 7 January 2026 removing the optional subjects from the mains. I haven’t confirmed that against the rules themselves, but it is one reason not to carry numbers across years.
On pay, a third-party guide lists HCS as Group A, Level 10, ₹56,100 per month basic. That is unofficial. The notification has the pay scale for each service.
What happens between now and joining
HPSC’s list is a recommendation. Appointment comes from the Haryana government, and the steps typically include document verification, a medical examination and police verification before an appointment order. I haven’t seen the commission’s notice setting dates for any of these in this cycle, so I can’t tell you when they happen.
What to do this week:
- Download the official PDF and the notes page. Check your roll number, name spelling and category. Errors in the list are easier to flag early.
- Gather originals. Education certificates, category and EWS certificates, domicile proof and any service or NOC papers will be needed, and certificate dates are checked against the application closing date of 26 February 2026. Reports say final-year students could apply only if they held the degree by that date.
- If your category certificate is the type that expires or needs a fresh format for a particular year, get the new one now. Delays here are a common reason appointment gets held up.
- Watch only hpsc.gov.in and the Haryana government’s notices. Telegram groups circulating “joining dates” at this stage have no authority.
Candidates who weren’t recommended
If you were interviewed but are not on the list, there is no published reserve list that I could find for this cycle. Whether HPSC maintains a waiting list depends on the rules in the notification. If your marks were withheld, the 15 October notice is the thing to read, and the commission’s contact details in the official notice are the route for queries.

FAQs
One report says “interview marks released” and another says “final result declared.” Which is the real final result?
Both exist. The interview marks came out on 8 October, and the final result with service allocation followed on 17 October. If you only read the first, you saw marks, not selection.
There were 102 posts but 101 recommended. Does that mean someone’s selection is pending?
I don’t know. Reports don’t say. Check the notes in the official final result PDF, because any withheld or unfilled position is normally recorded there.
Do my prelims marks matter for service allocation?
No. Reports state prelims marks are not added to final merit. Rank comes from mains and interview.
Where did the final result appear?
Reports point to the Results or What’s New section of hpsc.gov.in. Anything asking for a fee or extra personal data to “unlock” the list is not from HPSC.
