3. Eligibility Criteria |
| You need a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Botany, Microbiology, or Biotechnology from a recognised university, along with basic working knowledge of computers. Your age must not go beyond 35 years as on the date of the Written Test, and this recruitment is open only to SC and ST candidates. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4. Region-Wise Vacancy |
Each of the 21 posts is spread one-per-office across 21 different unit offices, from Sikkim and the North-East to Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Maharashtra, and Bihar. This means your choice of unit office matters as much as clearing the test — once selected, you train at that specific location only. |

5. Selection Process |
| Selection has two simple steps: a Written Test / Computer Proficiency Test at your chosen centre, followed by Certificate Verification on the same day. There is no separate interview round. The Board prepares a Rank List, which stays valid for one year and is used only if a selected candidate does not join or leaves within one year of joining. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6. Written Test Schedule (Region-Wise) |
Reach your centre by 10:00 AM for document checking — the written test itself starts at 11:00 AM. Reporting late means you cannot take the test, so build in extra travel time, especially for the more remote offices like Ziro, Roing, or Geyzing. |
7. Documents to Carry at the Written Test |
| Bring all original certificates with one self-attested photocopy of each, covering your Identity proof, Age proof, and Educational Qualification. If you have not yet received your final degree certificate, you do not need to appear for the test this time. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8. How to Apply Online |
If you’ve already done a training stint at any Spices Board office before — whether you completed it or not — you are not eligible to apply again this time. |
