2. Is This Link Safe? Why It Opens on an “ibps.in” Address

The direct link does not open on pfrda.org.in. It opens on the IBPS registration portal (ibps.in), which is the portal used for this recruitment’s online application and call letter. So do not worry if the web address looks different from the PFRDA site. If you want to be extra careful, go to pfrda.org.in → Careers / Vacancies and open the same call letter link from there. Never enter your details on any website whose address does not end in .org.in or .ibps.in for this exam.

3. How to Download the PFRDA Grade A Call Letter — Step by Step

  1. Open the direct link above, or go to pfrda.org.in and find the careers / vacancies section.
  2. Click the link for the Phase 1 call letter of Officer Grade A (Assistant Manager) Recruitment 2026.
  3. Enter your Registration Number or Roll Number.
  4. Enter your Password or Date of Birth.
  5. Submit, and your call letter will open on the screen.
  6. Check every detail carefully (see Section 5).
  7. Download the call letter and take a clear printout.
  8. Paste a recent passport-size photograph on the printout before you go to the exam centre.

Tip: Take at least two printouts and save the PDF on your phone and in your email. If one copy is damaged or lost, you will not be stuck on exam day.

4. Login Details — What to Use

  • Use the same credentials you created during online registration: your Registration Number or Roll Number and your Password or Date of Birth.
  • If you applied for two streams, only your latest registration number is printed on the call letter. One roll number is generated for administrative purposes, and the names of both posts are printed on it. So do not think something is wrong if you see only one number.
  • Forgot your registration number? Check your application email or SMS from the time you registered.

5. Details to Check on Your Admit Card Right Now

  • Candidate name, roll number and registration number
  • Date of birth and category
  • Post and stream applied for
  • Photograph and signature
  • Exam date, shift and reporting time
  • Exam centre name and full address
  • Space for the invigilator’s signature and your left thumb impression
  • Exam-day instructions

Your name on the call letter must match your photo ID exactly. If any detail looks wrong, contact PFRDA before the exam date, not on the exam day.

7. Phase 1 Exam Pattern — Paper 1 (All Streams)

Phase 1 is an online objective test with two papers. Paper 1 is common for all streams. Paper 2 tests your own stream’s subjects. Together they carry 200 marks.
Section Questions Marks
English Language 20 25
Quantitative Aptitude 20 25
Test of Reasoning 30 25
General Awareness (including some Financial Sector questions) 20 25
Total — Paper 1 90 100

Paper 1 is 60 minutes long.

8. Phase 1 Exam Pattern — Paper 2 (Stream-Specific)

Stream Questions Marks Duration
General 50 100 40 minutes
Research 50 100 40 minutes
Actuary 50 100 40 minutes
Official Language (Rajbhasha) 50 100 40 minutes

Total test time is 100 minutes (60 + 40). With login, call letter collection and reading instructions, expect to spend about 160 minutes at the venue. Plan your food, water and travel for a long half-day.

9. Marking Scheme and Negative Marking

  • All questions are multiple choice with five options and only one correct answer.
  • For every wrong answer, one-fourth (1/4) of the marks assigned to that question is deducted.
  • All papers except the English Language section are bilingual (Hindi and English). Rajbhasha Paper 2 questions are in Hindi and/or English.
  • An answer is counted for evaluation only if you click “Save & Next” or “Mark for Review & Next”. An answer you only select but never save will not be counted.
Section Approx. Marks per Question Approx. Deduction per Wrong Answer
English Language / Quantitative Aptitude / General Awareness 1.25 0.3125
Test of Reasoning 0.83 0.21
Paper 2 (any stream) 2.00 0.50

This table is our own simple calculation (section marks ÷ number of questions), assuming every question in a section carries equal marks. The official notification does not print per-question marks, so treat these as a guide only. The practical lesson is clear: in Paper 2, one wrong answer costs you half a mark, so do not guess blindly.

10. Paper 2 Topics for the General Stream

The exam handout lists these subjects as tentative for the General stream’s Paper 2:

  • Commerce, Accountancy, Management and Finance
  • Costing and the Companies Act
  • Economics and the Pension Sector
  • PFRDA Act, 2013 and its amendments
  • Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
  • Media, Marketing and Communication
  • Union Budget (concepts, approach and broad trends) and the Economic Survey

Topic lists for the Research, Actuary and Rajbhasha streams are not given in the sources used for this article. Check the official notification for your stream.

11. Last-Week Plan Before 15 October

When What to Do
Today Download the call letter, check all details, print two copies, save your submitted application printout (last date to print: 9 October).
Next 2–3 days Plan travel to the exam centre. Check the address on a map and book tickets or stay if the centre is in another city. Keep your ID ready.
Middle days Take full mock tests: Paper 1 in 60 minutes, then Paper 2 in 40 minutes, back to back, like the real exam. Practise saving every answer with “Save & Next”.
Last 2 days Revise formulas, current affairs, financial-sector and pension-sector topics. Do not start new topics. Sleep well.
Exam day Carry all documents, reach early, and keep your phone and notes out of the hall.

This plan is our suggestion to help you use the week well. It is not part of the official instructions.

12. Documents to Carry to the Exam Centre

  • Printed Phase 1 call letter with a recent passport-size photograph pasted on it (preferably the same photo you uploaded during registration)
  • Original, currently valid photo ID proof
  • One photocopy of the same photo ID
  • A ball-point pen and an ink stamp pad

Accepted photo ID proofs (as listed in the handout):

  • PAN Card
  • Passport
  • Permanent Driving Licence
  • Voter’s Card with photograph
  • Bank Passbook with photograph
  • Aadhaar Card or e-Aadhaar with photograph
  • Valid recent ID card issued by a recognised college or university
  • Employee ID (original)
  • Bar Council ID card with photograph
  • Photo ID proof issued on official letterhead by a Gazetted Officer or a People’s Representative, with photograph

Not accepted: Ration Card and Learner’s Driving Licence.

Name mismatch rule: The name on your call letter must exactly match the name on your photo ID. A mismatch can lead to being refused entry. If you have changed your name (for example, after marriage), you are allowed only if you produce a Gazette notification, a marriage certificate or an affidavit.

13. Exam-Day Instructions — Do’s and Don’ts

  • Note the date, reporting time and venue address printed on your call letter. Latecomers are not allowed.
  • You may visit the exam venue a day before to confirm its location.
  • Calculators, books, notebooks, written notes, mobile phones and other electronic devices are not allowed.
  • Follow the instructions of the Test Administrator and the PFRDA representative at all times.
  • Ask your doubts to the Test Administrator only before the exam starts. No queries are answered after it begins.
  • Do not press any keyboard key once the exam starts, as this can lock the exam.
  • You cannot click “Final Submit” until the full test time is used. Your answers are saved automatically when the time ends.
  • You will get one sheet of paper for rough work. After the exam, drop this sheet, your call letter and the ID photocopy (stapled together with the call letter) in the designated drop box.
  • Unfair means can lead to disqualification and debarment. Candidates are advised to note the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024.
  • In case of a technical or administrative problem, PFRDA will try to resolve it. A re-exam is at the exam body’s discretion, and candidates cannot claim one.

⚠ Three Things Candidates Forget: (1) Pasting the photograph on the printed call letter. (2) Carrying a photocopy of the ID along with the original. (3) Clicking “Save & Next” after every answer — an answer that is not saved is not counted.

14. Admit Card Not Downloading or Has an Error? Quick Fixes

  1. Recheck your registration number or roll number and your password or date of birth.
  2. Try again after some time, or use a different browser or device.
  3. If your name, photo, signature, category, post or centre details look wrong, contact PFRDA before the exam date.
  4. Use the contact details given in the official recruitment notification or on the call letter. A helpdesk number or email is not listed in the sources used for this article, so do not trust numbers shared on social media.
