Several outlets report that the Mains call letter for CRP SPL-XVI was released on 22 October 2026, and the exam is on 1 November 2026. The official last date to download, the Mains result, the interview schedule and any cut-off are not yet announced.
The IBPS Specialist Officer Mains call letter is now live. BankersAdda reports that it was released on 22 October 2026 for a recruitment drive covering 1,043 vacancies across specialist posts. Practicemock gives the same release date. The report on firstjob24.com also says “reportedly released”, so treat the date as widely reported rather than read off the IBPS notice itself. I could not open ibps.in directly. Log in on the official portal, and if your call letter loads, that settles it.

Nothing I found states the final date for downloading the Mains call letter. Don’t wait for it. Download now.
How to download
Open ibps.in, go to the CRP Specialist Officers section, and open the CRP SPL-XVI page. One report describes the link as the Phase II / Online Main Exam call letter link. Enter your registration or roll number, then your password or date of birth, plus the captcha. Candidates need their registration number or roll number, and either their password or date of birth. Use “Forgot Password” if you need it.
Save the PDF and print it clearly. A faded printout with an unreadable photo is the sort of thing that slows you down at the gate.
Do these four things today
1. Check you are on the right link. The same IBPS page carries several links: the Prelims call letter, the Prelims result, the Mains call letter and, later, interview letters. Candidates routinely log in through the wrong one and conclude their Mains call letter is missing. Only candidates who qualified in prelims can download the Mains call letter. If your login works on the Prelims link but not the Mains link, check your qualifying status before anything else.
2. Download your Prelims scorecard before the link closes. The scorecard window runs from 15 to 22 October 2026, which means it closes today. IBPS pages like this are often hard to reopen later. Your Prelims marks have no weight in the final merit list, but you may want them for your own record of how you did.
3. Read the call letter slowly. Check your name against your ID, the post you applied for, your category, the centre address and the reporting time. A name spelling that differs from your ID, or a missing photo or signature, is a problem you want to raise now. The exam day is the wrong time to find it.
4. Plan the travel. The exam is ten days away. If your centre is in another city, book tickets now, since 1 November sits close to a weekend and travel fills up. Where you can, locate the centre on a map beforehand. Centres inside college campuses can have confusing gate arrangements.
What the call letter carries, and what to bring
The call letter shows your personal details, exam date, reporting time, centre address and the instructions for the day. For documents, IBPS has historically asked for a printed call letter and a valid original photo ID, sometimes with a photocopy. The call letter’s own instruction page is the authority for 2026. It overrides any article, including this one, so read that page in full.
Posts and vacancies
The CRP SPL-XVI cycle aims to fill 1,043 Specialist Officer vacancies across six streams: IT Officer, Agricultural Field Officer, Law Officer, Rajbhasha Adhikari, HR/Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer. That figure is as reported by news outlets. The category-wise breakup sits in the official notification PDF, and I haven’t reproduced it, since I couldn’t verify the table.
One practical consequence of the six-stream structure: you compete only against candidates for your own post. A strong score for an IT Officer role says nothing about your standing for Law Officer. Candidates sometimes compare themselves with friends who applied for a different stream and draw conclusions that don’t mean anything.
Mains exam pattern
In recent cycles the Mains has been a post-specific Professional Knowledge test, with a descriptive paper added for some posts. I haven’t confirmed the marks, duration, negative marking or sectional rules for 2026. Take those from the CRP SPL-XVI notification PDF on ibps.in. If you are reading a coaching site’s pattern table, check it against the PDF line by line.
What happens after 1 November
The selection process is Prelims, Mains and Interview, as described in Prepp’s overview of the selection process. Mains marks and interview marks are combined for the final result, and the exact weightage is in the notification.
For a sense of timing, last cycle’s pattern is the best guide. The 2025 Mains was held on 9 November, and the Mains result was declared on 10 December 2025, about a month later. If IBPS follows a similar gap this year, the 2026 Mains result would come around early December, with interview letters soon after. That is an estimate from last year’s timeline, not an announced date.
After the result, the scorecard shows section-wise marks and qualifying status. Last year’s scorecard carried the candidate’s name, roll number, registration number, category, section-wise marks, total marks and qualifying status. There is no official 2026 cut-off yet. Any “expected cut-off” figure you see before the result is a guess.
A safety note
The call letter comes only from ibps.in. It is not sent by any offline mode. No agent, Telegram channel or “admit card service” can issue it, and none should be paid. If a site asks for money or your bank details to download a call letter, close it.

FAQs
I qualified in Prelims but my Mains link says my details are invalid. What now?
Check that you are using the Mains link and not the Prelims one, and that you are entering your date of birth in the format the page asks for. If you have a password, try “Forgot Password.” If the problem continues, use IBPS’s official grievance route on the recruitment page.
Does my Prelims score count in the final selection?
Prelims is a qualifying stage. Final selection rests on Mains and interview, so a modest Prelims score does not carry into the final merit calculation. Check the notification for the precise wording.
Can I change my exam centre now?
IBPS has historically not allowed centre changes after allotment. Nothing in the reports I found suggests 2026 is different, so confirm on the portal before relying on this.
Is there a separate call letter for the interview?
Yes. Each stage has its own call letter, and the interview letter will be issued only after the Mains result.
