2. “Provisionally Qualified” — What It Really Means

The heading of the official result says it is the list of Provisionally Qualified Candidates. In simple words:

  • Your name is in the pool of candidates who can go ahead to the final stage.
  • It is not a job offer. The final posting depends on your rank, your category, the number of vacancies in each AIIMS or institute, and the choices you fill.
  • The recruitment also includes document verification. Wrong or missing documents can stop you even if you are in this list.

The notice covers vacancies in all AIIMS and CAPFIMS, VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital and other Central Government hospitals in New Delhi, JIPMER Puducherry, ESIC New Delhi, NITRD New Delhi and the Central Institute of Psychiatry, Ranchi, as per the advertisement notifications named in the result.

3. How to Check the NORCET 11 Mains Result — Step by Step

  1. Visit the official AIIMS examination website: aiimsexams.ac.in.
  2. Open the Recruitments section on the home page.
  3. Select NORCET and click View Details for NORCET 11.
  4. Open the Results section.
  5. Click the NORCET 11 Mains (Stage II) Result link. The PDF will open.
  6. Press Ctrl + F (on a phone, use “Find in page”) and type your roll number.
  7. If your roll number appears, note your percentage and rank, then download and save the PDF.

Tip: The PDF is large (228 pages), so download it on a good internet connection before searching. Always search by roll number, because the list has no candidate names.

4. How to Read Your Row in the PDF

Column What It Means
Roll No. Your NORCET roll number (the numbers in this list are 7-digit numbers starting with 41).
Category UR, OBC, EWS, SC or ST, as registered by you.
PWBD Shows “YES” for candidates with benchmark disability. It is blank for others.
Gender Male or Female.
Percentage Your Mains score as a percentage, shown with three decimal places (for example, a value like 65.417).
Rank Your rank in the list. The same rank scale is used for all categories, so it looks like an overall rank (our reading of the PDF).

Please note: some websites say the PDF shows “percentile” and “cut-off”. The official PDF we read shows Percentage and Rank, and the pages we could read do not include a cut-off table. Do not mix up percentage (your score) with percentile (your position compared with others).

5. What the Official List Shows — Our Reading of the Numbers

We were able to read about the first third of the PDF (the first 75 of 228 pages), which is enough to see the pattern. These are our observations, not official statements:

  • Top scores: the highest percentages we saw are around 80–83% (for example, 82.708% at Rank 2 and 81.458% at Rank 5).
  • Lowest scores: the lowest percentage we saw is 40.000%, and ranks in the list go up to at least 10,612.
  • Size of the list: with 228 pages and ranks above 10,600, the list likely has more than 10,000 names. That is about 4.8 times the 2,218 vacancies (10,612 ÷ 2,218). So many qualified candidates will not get a seat, and your rank matters a lot.
  • Same percentage, different rank: candidates with the same percentage can have different ranks (for example, several candidates with 60.417% sit at slightly different ranks). This means AIIMS uses tie-break rules. Check the official notice for these rules if you are tied with others.
  • Mixed categories: the list is sorted by roll number, not by rank or category, so you have to search for your own roll number.

The rest of the PDF could not be read by us. If you want exact cut-off marks, wait for AIIMS to publish them, or check the full PDF yourself.

6. The NORCET 11 Journey So Far — And What Is Left

Stage Date / Status
Notification (Notice No. 103/2026) 24 July 2026
Exam City Details 3 September 2026
Stage I — Preliminary CBT (used only to shortlist candidates for Mains) 12 September 2026
Stage I Result 18 September 2026
Stage II — Mains CBT (decides your merit) 30 September 2026
Stage II Result (this article) Released — 10 October 2026
Choice Filling and Final Seat Allocation Next — as per AIIMS instructions (dates not announced in the result)
Document Verification and Joining After allotment, as per AIIMS notice

As reported from the notification, the Preliminary marks are not counted in the final merit — they are only used to shortlist candidates for Mains. The final merit list is based on Stage II (Mains) marks, with normalisation if the exam was held in more than one shift. That is why your Mains percentage and rank in this PDF are the numbers that matter.

7. Recruitment Recap — Posts, Pay and Age

8. What to Do Now — A Simple Checklist

  1. Find your roll number in the PDF and save a copy of the page with your row.
  2. Check your row carefully: category, PWBD status and gender must match what you applied with. If anything looks wrong, contact AIIMS through the official website immediately.
  3. Watch aiimsexams.ac.in every day for the choice filling notice, because the result does not give dates.
  4. Start collecting your documents now (see Section 10), so you are not rushed later.
  5. Make a draft choice list of institutes in order of preference (see Section 9).
  6. Keep your email and mobile active. Important instructions may come through them.
  7. Do not pay anyone for “seat guarantee” or “choice filling help”. There is no agent system in this recruitment.

9. Choice Filling — How to Think About It (Our Suggestions)

Choice filling means you rank the institutes where you want to work. AIIMS will allot seats based on your rank, your category and the vacancies available. The official process will be explained in the notice, and the points below are our general suggestions:

  • Know your rank and category. A higher rank gets you a better chance at the institutes everyone prefers.
  • Look at category-wise vacancies. The advertisement lists vacancies institute-wise and category-wise. A seat you can really win is better than a dream seat that fills up in the first few ranks.
  • Add many choices. A longer list lowers the risk of being left without a seat. Order them honestly by what you really want.
  • Think about life, not only the name. City, distance from home, rent, family and travel all matter for a long career.
  • Read the rules on changing or locking choices before you submit. Once locked, changes may not be allowed.

10. Documents to Keep Ready for Verification

The final list of documents will be in AIIMS’s own notice. These are the typical papers for a Nursing Officer recruitment, so start collecting them early:

  • NORCET admit card and a copy of your application
  • This Mains result (your row) and your scorecard, if issued
  • Class 10 certificate (for date of birth)
  • Nursing qualification certificates and mark sheets (B.Sc Nursing / GNM, as per your route)
  • Nursing Council registration certificate (State or Indian Nursing Council)
  • Experience certificate, if your eligibility route needs experience
  • Category certificate (SC / ST / OBC-NCL / EWS) in the correct, valid format
  • Disability certificate, if you applied under PwBD
  • Photo ID proof and recent photographs
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC), if you are working in a Government or PSU job

Category certificates have validity rules (for example, OBC-NCL and EWS certificates are usually accepted only if issued in the period the notice allows). Check the advertisement for the exact rule and get a fresh certificate in time if needed.

11. Can’t Find Your Roll Number? Check These First

  • Re-check the roll number on your Mains admit card. Prelims and Mains roll numbers can be different.
  • Search again using only the digits, without spaces, and try the full PDF, not just the first pages.
  • Remember it is a qualifying list. A candidate whose roll number is not in this list has not been shortlisted at this stage.
  • The sources we used do not mention any re-evaluation or answer key objection window for this result. If you have a genuine doubt, contact AIIMS through the official website and ask for the correct procedure.

12. If You Did Not Qualify — Other Nursing Recruitments in the News

Do not lose heart. Here are other nursing and paramedical recruitments that news sites have reported recently. Please read each official notice to check eligibility and dates:

  • RRB Nursing Superintendent Recruitment 2026 — reported for 365 posts
  • RRB Paramedical Recruitment 2026 — reported for 590 posts
  • RRB Pharmacist Recruitment 2026 — reported for 118 posts
  • PGIMER Chandigarh Nursing Officer — reported for 243 posts, with the exam date postponed

Your NORCET preparation (nursing subjects, general awareness, reasoning) can be used for many of these exams, so keep practising.

⚠ Avoid Fake Sites and Fake Calls: Use only the official AIIMS examination website (aiimsexams.ac.in) for the result and the next notices. One news page mentions an address ending in .nic.in, while the result page we read lists .ac.in, so always type the address yourself instead of clicking links in messages. AIIMS does not ask for money to give a seat, and no agent can promise you a posting.
