3. Why Some Batches and Sessions Look Unusual

If you look at the table above, you may notice two things that can confuse students:

  • B.Sc Nursing batches 2021-2023 and 2021-2024 are results for the 5th and 3rd semester of exams held in January 2026. These are old batches, so these results are most likely meant for students who are re-appearing or clearing backlog papers (this is our guess, because the source does not say it).
  • DYD 1st and 2nd Semester, exam session August 2024 — the result date is more than two years after the exam session shown. That is also unusual, and the reason is not explained in the listing.

This does not mean there is a mistake. The portal’s earlier listings (for example in April 2026) also show lines such as “Batch 2021-2025”, “backlog batches” and “Re-evaluation” results, so old-batch results are normal on this portal. To be sure about your own case, open your result and read the full description and notification number on the page.

4. How to Check Your Kashmir University Result — Step by Step

  1. Open the official results page: egov.uok.edu.in/results.
  2. In the results table, find your course (for example, B.Sc Nursing or Design Your Degree) and check the date, semester, batch, exam session and notification number.
  3. Click the “View Result” link next to your entry.
  4. On the page that opens, enter your name, roll number or registration number in the search box and search.
  5. Your result will appear on the screen. View or print it and save a copy.

The university’s own e-governance page says a student can view and print a result simply by entering their name, roll number or registration number. A roll number or registration number is the safest option, because names can be spelled in different ways. Keep your admit card or enrolment slip handy. Some result pages may ask for extra details such as your college — follow the instructions on the screen.

5. How to Read the Result Listing — A Quick Guide

Term on the Portal What It Means for You
Date The day the university uploaded this result (12 October 2026 for all four).
Description The course, semester and batch. Match all three with your own record.
Notification No. The university’s result notice number (09 for B.Sc Nursing 3rd semester, 10 for 5th semester). Use it to avoid opening the wrong list.
Batch The year you joined (for example, 2021-2023). Older batches usually mean re-appear or backlog candidates.
Exam Session The month and year in which the exam was held (January 2026 or August 2024 here).
Category The group the result belongs to. All four are “UG Professional”.
(Re-evaluation) in the title A separate list that shows the outcome after re-evaluation, not the first result.

6. What to Check on Your Result

  • Your name, roll number and registration number are correct.
  • The course, semester, batch and exam session match your own record.
  • Every subject / paper you wrote is listed, and the marks or grades look right.
  • The final status (pass, fail or reappear) is written correctly.

If anything looks wrong — a missing paper, a wrong name, or marks that do not match what you expect — take a screenshot or print the page and contact the university’s examination wing with your admit card. Do this quickly, because re-evaluation has a limited time window (see the next section).

7. Not Happy With Your Marks? How Re-Evaluation Works

  1. Open the university’s online re-evaluation portal: egov.uok.edu.in/reevaluation.
  2. Choose the paper or subject for which you want your answer sheet re-evaluated.
  3. Apply and pay the prescribed fee, and then use the same portal to check the status of your application.
  4. Later, the university publishes the outcome as a separate “Re-evaluation” result on the results page.
  • Time limit: reports say students must apply within about 7 or 15 days of the result date. The exact last date is given in the notification for your result, so check it on the day your result is out.
  • Limit on papers: the university’s re-evaluation form says re-evaluation is allowed for up to 50% of the courses / papers. Please read the current rules, because they may have been revised.
  • Photocopy of your answer sheet: as reported, a photocopy of the answer script is not a substitute for re-evaluation. If you want both, you need to submit two separate applications.
  • Risk: marks can also go down after re-evaluation, so use it only when you have a real reason.

The fee amount and the exact rules are not given in the sources we used, so please read the notice on the portal before you apply.

8. What Is “Design Your Degree” (DYD)?

DYD is the University of Kashmir’s way of offering its Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP), in line with the National Education Policy. In simple words, you can “design” your degree by choosing a main subject and other courses. As per the university’s DYD admission notice for the 2024 session:

  • The programme is a 4-year (8-semester) BS (Hons / Research) degree.
  • It also allows a 1-year (2-semester) Certificate if a student exits early. The notice may list further exit options, so check it for details.
  • Admission was based on an entrance test conducted by the University of Kashmir.

The results released on 12 October 2026 are for the 1st and 2nd semester of this programme, with the exam session shown as August 2024.

9. What to Do Next — A Simple Checklist

  1. Find your result today and save a PDF or screenshot (view / print option).
  2. Check every detail as given in Section 6.
  3. Note the re-evaluation deadline in the notification, if you plan to apply.
  4. If you have failed or have backlog papers, watch the university website for the next exam form and schedule, and for the date to apply.
  5. If you have passed, keep the result with your records and watch for instructions about the next semester.
  6. Keep your admit card, registration number and ID in one place, since you may need them again for re-evaluation or the next form.

These steps are our general suggestions. Follow the university’s official notices for the exact process.

10. If You Can’t Find Your Result

  • Is your course in the four? Only B.Sc Nursing (3rd and 5th semester) and DYD (1st and 2nd semester) were released on 12 October. Other courses are not part of this list.
  • Check the batch and exam session. If your batch or session is different from what is shown, your result may be in a different listing.
  • Try another search option. Search by roll number, registration number or name, and check the spelling.
  • Look for a Re-evaluation list. If you applied for re-evaluation, the new result appears as a separate entry.
  • Refresh or try later. Portals can be slow when many students log in together.
  • Still not found? Contact the university’s examination wing with your admit card details.

⚠ Use Only the Official Portal: Check your result only at egov.uok.edu.in/results or through kashmiruniversity.net. Do not pay anyone for “marks change”, “pass guarantee” or “early result”. Do not share your roll number, registration number or any OTP with unknown callers or social media pages.
