  • No leaving the hall. After the exam starts and biometric registration is done, you are not allowed to go to the toilet or leave the venue.
  • Everyone is frisked before entering the exam venue.
  • Impersonation is a serious offence. An FIR can be filed against both the candidate and the proxy.
  • Exam city: The centre once allotted for Stage-I and Stage-II will not be changed. ICG may allot a city different from your choice if too many candidates select the same one.
  • Check your login and email daily. All communication is only through email or SMS and your dashboard. Missing an update can cancel your candidature.
  • Corrigendum: Any change or correction to the advertisement is published only on ssc.gov.in. Keep checking it.

26. Smart preparation plan

This week Read the official notification fully. Arrange all documents, check that your certificate dates and validity (up to 31 Dec 2027) are fine, apply early, and save your confirmation.
Before Stage-I (Nov 2026) Download the syllabus from the portal and practise full 100-question mock tests in 60 minutes. Because there is no negative marking, practise attempting every question.
Fitness (start now) Build up to a 1.6 km run in 6:30 (male) or 8:00 (female), then add squats, push-ups and bent-knee sit-ups. Practise all four back-to-back without any rest, since a break fails the PFT. Stage-II is expected around end February 2027, so you have time if you start now.
Before Stage-II Keep 12 passport photos, self-attested photocopies and all originals ready. Get your ears cleaned and teeth checked before the medical.
Before Stage-III Apply for police verification only after 21 October 2026. Prepare your parental willingness, family particulars, character and willingness certificates. Link your mobile number to Aadhaar.
