Bihar STET Hall Ticket 2026: Final Admit Card, Exam Window and What to Check ADMIT CARD OUT

BSEB announced the final STET admit card for the afternoon of 18 October 2026, and portals report it as live. The exam runs from 25 October to 20 November 2026. Still pending: any answer key, the result and the date for individual candidates beyond what is printed on each admit card.

What was released

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) announced through a press note that the STET 2026 admit card would be issued on 18 October in the afternoon, per Careers360’s report of 16 October. The Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test runs from 25 October to 20 November 2026.

Only candidates who completed the online application and paid the examination fee can download the card, per the same report. If you applied but your fee payment didn’t go through, the portal won’t generate a card for you. That is worth checking today, not on 24 October.

Candidates log in with a user ID and password at stetregistration.cbrt.co.in. The test is computer-based with objective questions, per Adda247.

The build-up, in order

BSEB staged this in steps, and the steps explain what you see on screen now.

Event Date (as reported)
Notification 14 August 2026
Applications opened 17 August 2026 (Physics Wallah)
First dummy admit card and correction window 25–30 September 2026
Second dummy admit card 1 October 2026 (Adda247)
Final admit card 18 October 2026, afternoon
Exam window 25 October – 20 November 2026
Result Not announced

Adda247 gives the dummy card phase as 25 September to 7 October in one table and 25–30 September for the correction window elsewhere. The windows may have been extended. Don’t rely on either date now, because that phase has ended.

The dummy card is your comparison copy

The dummy admit card existed so candidates could check the details in their application and correct mistakes before the final card was issued. If you downloaded a dummy card and filed a correction, open both documents side by side. Check that your correction made it onto the final card. A wrong subject or a wrong photograph on the final card is far easier to fix this week than at the centre.

If you never downloaded the dummy card, read the final card line by line against your application form. Whether BSEB will entertain corrections after the final card is out isn’t stated in the reports I found. If anything is wrong, contact BSEB through the details on the registration portal at once and keep a copy of your application. I haven’t listed a phone number or email because I couldn’t verify one.

A six-week window changes your planning

The exam is spread across 27 days. A candidate with a date in November has weeks to spare, and the temptation is to leave the download until later. That is a mistake for two reasons. The portal sees heavy traffic in the first hours after a release, and again just before the first exam date. And a problem found now has weeks of slack, while one found on the day before your exam has none.

Download the card today or tomorrow, whatever your date. Save a PDF copy, and print two. Then do one thing most candidates skip: look at the centre address and the reporting time, and check the route. If the centre is in another district, book travel and a place to stay while seats are available.

What to check on the admit card

The card carries the exam date, time and centre, per BSEB’s instructions as reported. Check these:

  • Name, roll number and photograph
  • The paper or subject you registered for
  • Date, shift and reporting time
  • Centre name and full address
  • Any instructions on documents to carry

Carry the printed card and a valid photo ID. Aadhaar and voter ID are among the IDs portals list, but the card’s own instructions govern. Carrying the card is mandatory, and no one is let in without it, per Prepp’s summary.

Portal addresses to watch

The official portal in BSEB’s announcement is stetregistration.cbrt.co.in. A second site, bsebstet.org, appears in at least one portal’s coverage of the dummy admit card. I couldn’t confirm whether that address belongs to BSEB. One Careers360 article spells the address with an extra “e” (steteregistration), which is a typo in the article, not a different site. With addresses this close to each other, a candidate who types one from memory can easily end up somewhere unintended.

Use the link printed in BSEB’s press note or on the board’s own site. Check the address bar before you type your user ID and password. Don’t enter credentials on a page you reached through a forwarded message, and don’t pay anyone to “generate” a hall ticket.

After the exam

Nothing has been published on the answer key or result. Don’t use a score or cut-off you see on a prep site as a target. The pass criteria and the validity of the certificate are in the notification, and I haven’t verified them here.

FAQs

I applied but the portal says no admit card is available for me. What now?
Reports say the card is generated only for candidates who completed the application and paid the exam fee. Check your fee payment status on the portal first. If the fee shows as paid and there is still no card, contact BSEB through the portal with your payment receipt.

My exam date is in November. Do I need to download the card now?
You should. The portal will be busiest on release day and before the first exam date, and a mistake on the card is easier to fix with weeks in hand.

Is the dummy admit card enough to enter the exam hall?
No. The dummy card was for checking details and filing corrections. The final admit card, released on 18 October, is the one you carry.

Two websites show up for STET. Which one do I use?
Use the one in BSEB’s announcement, stetregistration.cbrt.co.in, reached through the board’s own notice. I couldn’t confirm the status of other addresses that appear in search results.
