Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan (OAVS) has released the OAVS Teacher Syllabus 2026 and exam pattern for Principal, PGT, TGT, Art Teacher, PET, Computer Teacher and other teaching posts under Advertisement No. 01/2026.

The recruitment process covers a total of 815 vacancies, and candidates preparing for the examination should understand the complete syllabus and marking scheme before starting their preparation. The OAVS examination will be conducted through an Online Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of objective-type multiple-choice questions. For Principal posts,

the examination will have 180 questions for 180 marks with a duration of 3 hours, while the PGT, TGT and similar teacher examinations will consist of 200 questions for 200 marks with a duration of 3 hours 20 minutes. The syllabus includes English and Odia language proficiency, General Awareness, Current Affairs, Reasoning, Computer Literacy, Child Development and Pedagogy, Teaching Methodology and subject-specific content.

Principal candidates will also have a major section covering Administration and Finance. There will be 0.25 mark negative marking for every wrong answer.

The language section is qualifying in nature, so candidates must secure the prescribed minimum marks in English and Odia for their remaining answers to be evaluated.
